90. How to Live Properly

Keeping your biological clock steady with discipline is an important factor to a healthy life.

Things to keep track:
  • Time you wake up every morning
  • Time you eat breakfast, snack, lunch, tea and dinner
  • Time you sleep at night
I always wake up at 5 in the morning. I don't eat snacks, breakfast at 6 AM, lunch at 12 PM, and dinner at 5PM. Then, I sleep at 9 PM to get an 8-hours sleep.

If you break your routine, like skipping your meal, or not eating at the same time everyday, your ulcer will be confused as to release chemicals to help digest your food, or not. Overtime, you'll experience irritation on your ulcer and feel gastric pains.

If you don't get enough sleep, your body cannot freshen up. Dead skin cells are still there lying around creating all sorts of problems like acne all over your body, fall ill more often because of dramatic decrease in your immune system, etc.

Find your own balance and don't forget to set aside 8 hours a day to sleep. Also, try to keep it up with discipline.

I learn that there are several spices that make delicious cooking:

Salt
Everyone around the world uses salt to give taste to the food.

87. Suggestion on How to Fry

If you want to fry things that might stick to the skillet, most people heat the skillet before pouring the cooking oil. It's not advised to preheat the pan empty.

1. Pour the cooking oil as usual, heat the pan and the oil, remove the heated cooking oil to a container. 2. Pour new cooking oil to the skillet again, let it heat, and then remove the second heated cooking oil to a container. 3. Pour another new cooking oil to the skillet again (last time), let it heat, and then remove the third heated cooking oil to a container.

Finally, pour the real cooking oil you'd like to use to fry your fish, and when it's ready, you can start frying the fish.

Alternatively, you can also apply palm starch flour onto the fish before frying, and you won't need a lot of oil to fry it too. I reckon this method is more convenient and worth a try.

The food won't stick and it's still whole. This is useful especially when you need to fry fish. Fish is so fragile the skin won't be around by the time you're finished frying. The skillet ate all your fish skin.

86. How to Always Cook Delicious

Cooking a meal is an art. It's not always about whether it tastes delicious. Even if the meal doesn't taste that good, but if it looks pretty, everybody wants to try. Then, maybe they'll get disappointed and never touch the food again, but in the end, there's no leftover thanks to the power of crowd. A lot of people help to finish the food together.

It's still great if you can cook delicious meal, because then everybody wants more and you'll end up cooking some more.

I've always tried to at least have a matching cut. For example when I make chicken soup, I would cut the potatoes in pyramid shape and carrots in flower shape. At least the children loves to eat flowers and pyramids.

One other trick is to have a uniform cut. For example, you can cut all ingredients of different matching colours into small cubes and then you'd have what I call rainbow meal.

85. Fridge is Dangerous

The fridge freezes everything. Have you tried putting food -- any fruits or vegetables in the fridge and let them stay there for a month?

You can't prevent food from going bad with refrigerator. You can only slow down its process. It's best not to use refrigerator entirely so you'll eat everything fresh from the market. Your body will then get more nutrition too, because healthy food is best served immediately before losing some of its great value.

Consider warm water, which would serve you best when it's warm. It won't have the same benefit when served cold after several minutes.

83. Neck Massage #3 (Finish)

Massage both sides of the neck with your hand's PIP joints. If the 100 strokes rule seems quite hard to follow, you can try to use five minutes rule. Massage the area for five minutes and see how you feel better. If you think you need more, try to add five more minutes.

Pay attention to how the massage makes you feel better, because otherwise, you might be doing it wrongly and you should halt the massage to find the right area.

82. Neck Massage #2

Massage both sides in top-bottom direction. Start the massage from the joints between your head and neck just behind the ears. This stroke feels soothing in a way, and I suggest to also use your hand's PIP joints to do the massage so you won't feel tired easily.

I always use this method to relax my muscles after a day working that my neck feels so tense and rigid. You can opt to not use massaging oil too.

81. Neck Massage #1

Massage the centre of your neck from top to bottom using your hand's PIP joint. The starting position should be around three centimetres up from where your hair grows. Then you can continue down the waist along the line of your spinal cord.

If there's a sign of redness on the skin, continue the massage until the red part doesn't go redder. The red colour indicates that the blood's flowing rapidly, cleaning dirt away from your veins on that part.

If you have a cold, or doesn't feel good because of cold symptoms, your skin might turn red if you massage the right part. Otherwise, it's also a good treatment for those of you who have headache. Don't forget to use massaging oil to prevent skin irritation due to friction between your hand and your neck (and / or back).

Stay tuned to find out more strokes to massage your neck.

80. How to Make Any Food Tasty Naturally

Have you ever tried cooking with pork oil? How was the taste? Was it more delicious?

When I cook with pork oil, my cooking magically becomes so delicious. This is interesting and I can't explain why. I guess maybe because there's a taste of meat in the background. I also tried using chicken fat, but pork fat is tastier.

This is how I normally make pork lard
  • I go to the market to buy pork fat, or pork belly
  • Then, I cut it into very small cubes.
  • I place a frying pan on the stove
  • I fry the fat until the oil comes out (not using other oil)
  • Then, I collected the resulting oil into a container
  • I also collected the crispy pork lard residue into a container

  •

  • Add a pinch of salt to the fried pork, mix them well, and you can eat them with bread or use them as snacks
  • Remember not to store them for more than one week. It's organic it might expire.
Use this pork oil to cook everything you don't like, but you need to because it's healthy. Yes, surely you can also use this pork oil to cook anything you love to make it tastier.

Yummm!!!
