27. Hiring A Babysitter Can Be Tough

My aunt's friend had a live-in babysitter once. Not long after, she quietly installed CCTV to see how the babysitter works and how it affects her child. It turned out that her babysitter made a phone call to all her friends using house phones, while giving her feet to the child. The child sucked her toe, thinking it was a pacifier. That babysitter, so calm, so cheerful, so gross.

I would like to also share some interview questions to ask to a babysitter:
  1. What is your approach on children education, in specific, how do you plan to educate my children?
  2. How do you plan to maintain my children's hygienic environment?
  3. How do you plan, or normally do to take care of (my) children daily?
  4. What are your priorities for my children? Toilet training, reading skills, hygiene, happiness, food?
  5. If you need to go to the restroom while my child is playing in the kitchen, what do you do?

  6.

  7. What do you think of using phones during work time?
  8. Do you answer door bells (even if nobody is around)?
  9. What would you do if my child accidentally falls and hit his / her head?
This is a tricky question, because you cannot pick your child immediately, as that move can damage his / her brain. You should call ambulance immediately.
  10. Do you prefer my child crying to laughing? Because my child has trouble eating his / her food.
  11. Describe a time when you lose your temper.
